Spinach-Artichoke Christmas Tree Skewers

Spinach-artichoke dip is a classic appetizer, but let’s make it a little more festive! Wrapped in puff pastry, the dip can be shaped into cute little Christmas trees and becomes individual apps. The tree gets topped with a little cheese star, as all trees should be. These are best served warm, but can be assembled and refrigerated for 2 hours before baking.

Prep Time: 15 minutes
Chill Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 45 minutes
Servings: Makes several skewers

  • 1 cup chopped spinach, cooked and drained

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Cubed bread or crackers
  • Wooden skewers

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, chopped artichoke hearts, Parmesan cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Refrigerate the spinach-artichoke dip for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
  3. To assemble the Christmas tree skewers, thread a cherry tomato onto the bottom of a wooden skewer, followed by a cube of bread or a cracker.
  4. Continue alternating cherry tomatoes and bread/crackers until the skewer is almost filled, leaving some space at the top.
  5. Spoon or pipe the chilled spinach-artichoke dip onto the top of the skewer in a tree-shaped pattern, resembling the top of a Christmas tree.
  6. Optionally, place a small cherry tomato on top as a decorative tree topper.
